The subject of Daya and Premlata reminded me that when Marolyn (Durga Ji) was in labor with Premlata and (whichever the next kid was), Maharaji gave agya that at least those of us in the ashrams were supposed to sit in meditation all during her labor. Remember that?
I also remember that Claudia was apparently having a somewhat difficult labor with Navi and Maharaji directed that we sit in meditation during her (long, long, long as I recall) labor as well.
By that time, the, well, novelty of Rawat's kids (and Claudia's kids) had sort of worn off, and it became less exciting, and more just an order from God, to do it. Of course, the first couple of kids came during the "meditation-marathon" days, when we used to do "all night" and "all day" meditations in the ashram. God, I hated that. Find a wall and prop up against it, or just sleep on your barrogon was kind of the only refuge.
It was all such a meaningless, pointless, endeavor, but if Maharaji said do it, we did.
