This is an old time favorite song of the Premies. I still wonder who thought of that catchy slogan ~ Who Is Guru Maharaji? However, Arti was still the Number One song to sing. As many present and past cult members know Arti was a very long devotional song to Prem Rawat with a picture of Rawat to focus on while singing it. Arti usually happened once in the morning and once at night (or) two times a day. It was an important part of the ashram schedule. Now if you take 5 years of this practice by a premie in an ashram ~ how many times did this person have to sing it? not counting festivals? Now let's see and I hate math but... That's 14 times a week. 728 times a year. Answer ~ 3640 times spent singing this song over five years. It took about 20 to 30 minutes to sing Arti. I'm gonna go with the longer 30 minute version (you can include the time spent on the floor in front of Prem Rawat's picture after Arti if you want to.) Thats 1820 hours or almost 75 days spent singing this song alone ~ per premie. Now multiply this by however many premies who were living in the ashrams singing this over the same time period. I don't know how many premies there were but I think it would add up to many lives lost (time wise) just singing this song alone. Correct me if I'm wrong. Mathfully Yours, Hilltop
