Well, YOU'RE an active bunch of forum people aren't you! I'd better get typing ...
And I get puzzled wondering why people LEAVE knowledge ...
But I guess the answer must be that people don't experience a return for their investment of time and energy. Why that might be is another debate.
All I can say for me is that knowledge touches the deepest part of me - and for the most part the enjoyment I receive is in the doing, thus the doing isn't a chore.
And to me the quality of the experience is worth it. But I DO think it's a pretty subtle thing, invisible even if you're not experiencing it. And when you're not experiencing it, you can't remember it! Tricksy or what!
