Thanks. I guess Annie is snowed under in Western New York state unless she moved.Draught bovine do need their hooves trimmed on occassion. The ideal profile is high in the heel and short in the toe. Oxen who work on hard surfaces also require shoeing. Each hoof gets a two piece shoe. Both are jobs for professionals although I was thinking of getting some cadaver legs to practise on, and I'd need to build a stanchion to restrain the animals. But for $75 dollars per animal I could get it done the two times I might ever need it...
