One of the most frustrating things about trying to understand how Rawatworld came into being, is that the major players seem to have vanished off the face of the earth. Ok, we've had Dettmers & Donner, but they came later.

The British premies (the WPC types) were notorious among American premies as the most Gestapo-like of all the Rawat cult security people. 

They were pretty notorious in Britain too. I now understand that it's normal for Gurus of any standing to have their own militia, but quite how this principle was  introduced to the London 'counter-culture', & by whom, remains a mystery.

The WPC were, by & large, reformed (maybe) dope dealers, burglars, scam artists, drop outs from biker gangs, deserters from the IRA, & the like, who'd all got the special K.

Amazing really.
