Actually, my Mother was raised Methodist (there are lots of them in the Midwest USA), but she converted to Roman Catholicism after she married my Father. 

I personally have no problem with personal faith and personal religious beliefs, although I don't subscribe to them myself.  What I object to is any imposition of those beliefs on anybody else, and of course, the rank hypocrisy that tends to exist in closed belief systems, as well as the bizarre belief that somehow these people are persecuted for their beliefs if they are critizied.  This is true whether this be Evangelical Christianity, or the cult of Prem Rawat.  Some of the paralells are interesting.
