Polarization is inevitable where a 'wrong' is identified and 'interested parties' refuse to acknowledge that 'wrong'.
The only thing that an individual can do is state, as far as possible without prejudice, what their understanding is, and present evidence where that is available. Cult behaviour always demands adherence to some form of 'special truth' which can not (in the eyes of the adherent) be questioned. Those who challenge cult behaviour must necessarily question the unquestionable - there is no way around it, and no room for compromise or accomodation with the cultists if the challenge is to be maintained.
I'm sorry things have got unpleasant for you personally Andries, but merely by raising a sceptical perspective you are threatening an array of individual and organisational interests. And those interests are fighting back, in an effort to hold on to the status, power, money and pysychological security to which they believe they are entitled.
