The kindest scenario is that it's a genuine attempt to mobilise his followers able to get to the affected areas and help in any way they can.
Watching the very heart rending news reports...some of them incredible feats of on- the- spot journalism in the most traumatic conditions......it truly appears that the need for help is so great that anybody willing can find some way of helping ( with or without "expertise "...they will soon become an "expert" in that situation .
A spin -off from the good work that will no doubt be done is of course good publicity......which Prem Rawat desperately needs in order to help persuade the new breed of interested people and those with the Nollidge that he is a credible inspirational speaker and not just someone maintaining a luxury lifestyle. The problem is that we vociferous nuisances, who have been around for a long time, are refusing to creep away and shut our mouths. We remember the DUO fiasco in the late seventies. I seem to remember that premies started doing good works for the wider non-premie community then, for altruistic " we are one in the spirit " reasons, but this idea was soon phased out and reformed to only service directly to Guru Maharaj Ji being acceptable ( and all funds going in his direction ).
So, am I right in thinking that the charitable enterprises of TPRF so far amount to 1. Providing the premises and facilities only, for eye tests and treatment in needy areas 2. Giving out non-battery flashlights 3. a few tons of rice 4. Giving aid to Tsunami victims. ?
Considering Prem Rawat , under his various identities, has been "inspiring " his believers to follow the path of Nollidge and love since he was 8 years old and he is now 47 (?) it's a feeble track record.
