Not sure if this is OT or not, but the recent Economist magazine had an interesting article on personality cults this month, which they interpret as personality cult governments, and include N. Korea, Togo and one other.

You can read it at economist.com and then doing a search on personality cult. It's premium content but if you watch a short ad for the NY Times on-line edition, they give it to you free.

It's interesting that they opine that the personality cult is an endangered species; hopefully on a political level it is; as we well know, they surely are not endangered if you look at non-political personality cults!
