yes interesting article to read. I was agreeing with him all down the line and get to the conclusion - that we need a system of governance that is spiritual as well as secular - and all of a sudden I am remembering how the previous generation said we were lucky to have been able to separate religion from government and keep it like that as otherwise we would be more vulnerable to being enslaved. (not that I don't still agree with the writer, it's just that as a species we clearly have some major problems that overbear any system of government you want to devise) I hadn't heard of q anon before but I am guessing it is the thing that is making these people I know have this weird mix of a constant line of right-wing conspiracy theory ideas popping up, always changing, moving with the times, no facts needed, and sitting oddly with the left-leaning spiritual and environmental ideas - how do you mix the paranoia and bliss? - on the one hand anxiety levels are ramped up and vindicated and then on the other hand it's to have trust in the universe. |
