But really everyone is silly, women included.  Look at all the natty designs people have come up with for face masks, to the point that some of them look positively alluring on the right face, and yet the underlying reason people are so reluctant to wear them is it's uncomfortable to have the flow of air impeded.   Where's the natty lightweight designs for filters to make breathing with a mask a lot easier?  oh right, it'd make you look like Darth Vader or maybe that space invading slug from the Dr Who series.  fair enough.  it's a tough equation to balance - virus, air, attractiveness.
