A thread starts off with one topic, but it can splinter off into different topics that may or may not be directly related to the first post in the thread.

I'm surprised you are not aware of this feature since so often you will change the subject abruptly as you have so many, many times.

13 is talking about Ofcom here and the post I made about Fox News in the UK.
