He might be upset with his co-religionists for all we know, he might privately be rather over religion in general, he might even have spoken up about what he sees wrong in it for all we know. but because of his ethnicity, he and his family could be atheists, they could be Christians and yet would be endangered if their society became stridently anti-muslim because Arabs are largely thought of as being Muslim. |
