I had to make it in culinary school. YUCK! Lucky us. But food in US is horrible. I almost never eat at restaurants, and buy almost no packaged foods. Mostly chemical s**t storms. Got a bundle of baby beet greens at a historic farm in Philadelphia, Bartrum's Garden. Founded 1723. Water sauteed with onion, garlic and a little thyme. Splash of tamari and vinegar. Ate the entire pound with a pile of black eye peas. Too lazy to make cornbread or hoe cakes. Simple but yum. |
