Thanks JD, likewise.  They were wild times. I know it ended up being called a rebellion by Rawat but from my perspective it was premies doing the right thing, not just from a human perspective but also a premie's - we all believed Mr Omniscient would be pleased with our efforts if he knew what was happening. And I still look back on that time with pride - for once the tail wagged the dog. But I am also pretty horrified when I look back at how badly I was treated. I am grateful to the premie who told me it was on Rawat's specific orders - finally torpedoing the concept that everything that went wrong in service was due to the premies not Rawat. And, come to think of it, I should probably be grateful to myself for seeing it that way rather than going down some hell hole of thinking I personally had incurred His displeasure. For a little while we had a lot of fun living the true believer's life on that beautiful piece of land much to Rawat's annoyance not that we understood this at the time. But that's the truth of it isn't it - he was badly annoyed. Oh goodness it was insane in every corner but the fine dining kitchen had that extra edge of stressed out chefs! I remember your friendly face as a beacon of sanity not just pastries. |
