Gail - let me be the first to congratulate you on coming out.You were a great support to me throughout the writing of the book, and I am glad to have this opportunity of thanking you publicly. Just a thought Mike regarding the distribution of your book ...I spent hours both before and after becoming a premie here ( see link to web site ). There must be many other "spiritual bookshops" but this one is pretty famous.

Hi Gail, What a lovely post and so nice to hear from you. I'm sure you were a wonderful support to Mike as he wrote his tome. I can't wait to get my hands on it ( have ordered it from Amazon ). I couldn't help thinking that maybe for your never-a-premie American friend it would be a cracking good, can't put-it-down read...all the weirdities surrounding DLM and premiedom that we got used to and took for granted must be a revelation to the innocents who were never involved in such a racket. Having said that maybe Mike has given his involvement in our mass folly the momentum of a thriller !

Hi Gail This : Perhaps if the cult had not proved so determined to erase our history, there may not have been such a powerful reason to write it. But none of us would have dedicated ourselves to a “motivational speaker” in the way that premies did to the man we believed to be the Lord, no matter how persuaded or influenced we were by his precepts! And the record needs to be put straight. As far as possible, people should to be able to make informed choices in all things; ex-premie.org, and most of the affiliated websites help provide the opportunity to make that choice with regard to Maharaji. I just ordered Mikes book , i really hope it tells our story for people All the best Poul

I've gotta say that it feels good for me to know that you are among the ranks of folks who have now stood up openly. It's not an easy thing to do and there were many times I wished I'd never done it from the beginning -- as you know.

That says it all to me and is one more reason I continue to post here after so long. Last month marked ten years of my posting on the forums. Time passes quickly, so it's important to me that any little bit I may write here might give someone food for thought if they are thinking about leaving Maharaji or entertaining getting involved with him.
It's our life history and no one, including Maharaji, has the right to erase or alter that.

Brave of you to leave anonymity behind, and I hope you don't mind me using your moniker of 'Bunny' (I always had trouble remembering your real name when we occasionally met!) Anyway - the great idea (and don't get me wrong - I'll be ordering my own copy as soon as it's available on the amazon.co.uk site) but how about this:
everyone who'd like to make a more truthful version of Rawat's history more available to a wider audience, ask your local library to order a copy. I might be wrong, but there may be quite a few premies who are itching to read Mike's book (even if only to see if they're mentioned in it!), but who might think they'd be betraying Rawat if they were to buy it. Borrowing it from a library might be a more palatable option for them (but who knows?). Just an idea.

For it to be a free choice wouldn't Rawat have to first admit to all the deception practised by himself and in his name to the "aspirants" beforehand? Or actually before they even became aspirants. So any person sitting down to watch some WOPG propaganda would first see a short, or not so short, confession by Rawat before he started his spiel.

Hello Gail, As Mike said congratulations on coming forth and for the record thank you for all of your help and support in the early days of my exit from the cult. I owe both you and Mike a debt of gratitute for being there for me as I reclaimed my life, self will and freedom from the many years of insidious cult indoctrination. The times we shared in Oregon, and England are treasured memories and were important moments in my self recovery. If there is something good to be had from the entire cult experience it is ultimately meeting incredible people like yourself with real integrity and courage who'll stand up and be counted and openly speak the truth about the Cult and Guru.
